This is my first album, the culmination of 4 years of quiet listening, during which time I walked to a nearby Lake each morning (rain or shine, snow or sleet) to greet Sun at sunrise. These walks usually began in the darkness of predawn. The experience was formative, and inspired many of the songs on the album.

The leader of the group has described them as "profoundly beautiful." Use them for meditation, but also for deep listening or just to relax. A 40+ minute NAF chill pill.

'Dancing the Full Moon' was something of a breakthrough project for me. It received a Native American Music Award nomination and excellent reviews here and abroad. The title track (included here) quickly became a crowd favorite.

The working title for the project was “Dancing the New Moon” - probably a better title for us Cherokee. I changed it at the last minute because of Miu Eng’s fantastic cover art, which suggested a beautiful full moonrise.
